Permission to use the photographs
For original photographs on this website or delivered by Cord Allman that Cord owns and has not expressly excluded in a written agreement, Cord grants everyone worldwide, non-exclusive permission to copy, download, print, share, crop, edit and use them for personal or commercial purposes without a photograph-licensing fee. This permission includes clients and other users. Credit and a link are optional.
The photograph still has a photographer
This is permission to use the photographs, not a transfer of copyright or an exclusive licence. Cord Allman retains copyright and remains their photographer. You may use an image without a credit, but may not falsely claim to have taken it or to own its copyright. The photographs are not dedicated to the public domain.
People have rights too
This permission covers only rights Cord holds in the photograph. It does not supply a model release or permission from a person, property owner, brand or other rights holder shown in it. For advertising or another sensitive use, check any necessary consent and third-party permissions. Do not imply a person endorses a product or cause without their permission.
Both the client and Cord may use the photographs for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the same applicable rights and any written privacy or use agreement. Discuss limits on public sharing before a session; a commissioned photograph is not automatically permission to publish someone’s private information.
What this permission does not include
This photograph permission does not license music, recordings, fictional stories, site text or code, generated illustrations, character artwork, third-party contributions or photographs whose rights Cord does not hold. Those materials remain subject to their own terms. Session fees, prints and other services are separate from the free permission to use a photograph.
A clear record helps everyone
Keep the photograph’s page link or delivery record and a copy of this permission for your records. If a photograph has a separate written agreement, check that agreement. Contact Cord if the ownership or permission for a particular image is unclear, or if you appear in an image and have a concern.
